Barbecue Food San Francisco Best Barbecue Restaurants
Barbecue Food San Francisco - Barbecue restaurants will be classified as one of three different types:• Local or Independently owned • Regional Chain • National Chain There are very few large national chains of barbecue restaurants. However, there are many small to medium size regional chains. Normally if a regional chain is in a geographic area they will have several locations in that geographic area for their restaurants. For our listings we only list the restaurant one time even though there may be five or ten restaurants of that chain in the metropolitan area. Check on the restaurant's web site for specific location information. It is not unusual for the local or independently owned barbecue food restaurant to be located remotely in a rural town outside the major metropolitan area. Not so for the regional chain - their restaurants are normally located in a high traffic area with many other types of restaurants. Many of the local barbecue restaurants also sell food products via their web site. So if you have a great meal while traveling at one of these local barbecue restaurants - order some food via the internet to be shipped to you and enjoy a meal with family and/or friends. Atlanta being a southern city has an abundance of really good local barbecue restaurants. Here are some of our barbecue food San Francisco recommendations:
Memphis Minnie's Barbeque - Memphis Minnie's Barbeque joint is dedicated to maintaining and celebrating the time honored American tradition of slow smoked southern style BBQ. All of our meats are cooked using the the heat and smoke from burning white oak logs. We use NO GAS and NO ELECTRIC to cook our meats. It just ain't the real way to make real Q. At Minnie's we are all about the food. barbecue food San Francisco

Big Nate's - Big Nate'sIt might be easy to drive right past this place, despite the big, bold lettering spelling out Big Nate's on the side of the building, but we wouldn't recommend it. In a town with too few barbecue joints, Big Nate's is one of the best. Inside, two huge brick ovens-smokers house the tender brisket and the faintly smoky chicken. A long, unenthusiastically drab counter begins the ordering process at the door and runs the length of the narrow space. Two or three cafeteria-style tables are relegated to the back corner since this is mostly a take-out business. Most Big Nate's fans can't pass up the Memphis pulled pork sandwich, with its tender cubes of pork swimming in a thick, vinegary sauce (that can be ordered from mild to spicy, as with all the sauces) that gets ladled into a soft, sesame seed bun. Dinners like the dense links and the delicious pork ribs come with a nice, lightly dressed coleslaw or potato sala. barbecue food San Francisco

Everett & Jones Barbecue - If you could have one last soul food dinner, you should choose E&J. Opening in 1973, succeeding generations of the family have carried on and spread the 'cue throughout the East Bay. The family specialty is brisket, but you won't be unhappy with the ribs, the potato salad, the sweet-potato pie and the lemonade. The heart of the room is the grill, barbecue smokers and prep area, and a small corner is reserved for a blues combo to play on the weekends. On Friday and Saturday, they serve everyone who arrives by midnight, and soul food fans can always get it to-go. barbecue food San Francisco
